What can Kairo do on Apple Watch?
Kairo has its own app for Apple Watch (watchOS 9.4 or later). It shows your calorie and macro status and your streak, and lets you log recently eaten foods straight from your wrist. Complications put the day's status on your watch face. Taking photos and scanning stay on the iPhone.

Log a meal from the watch
- Open Kairo on your Apple Watch.
- Pick an entry from the list of recently eaten foods.
- Set the quantity with the Digital Crown and choose the meal type.
- Tap add. The entry lands in the same history as your scans from the iPhone.
What does the watch app show?
An overview with your calorie and macro status for the day, your streak, and the list of recently eaten foods. The list is filled from what you have logged on the iPhone. If it is empty, log some meals in the iPhone app first.
Which complications are there?
Kairo comes with complications in four formats: circular, rectangular, a line of text (inline) and the corner of the watch face. You add them like any other complication: touch and hold the watch face, tap "Edit", swipe to the complications, tap a slot and select Kairo.
Which formats are available depends on the watch face you use.
Does the watch app need the iPhone?
Yes. The watch app's data runs through the iPhone app: the day's status and recently eaten foods come from the iPhone, and entries made on your wrist are handed over to the iPhone. Photo scan, describe, barcode and menu scan exist on the iPhone only.
How do calories burned on the watch get into Kairo?
Through Apple Health, not through the watch app. When you turn on Apple Health sync, Kairo reads the active energy measured by iPhone and Apple Watch. More: Connect Kairo to Apple Health.
